Henry's second marriage was to Elizabeth McLaughlin (b. 1 July 1880 and d. 27 June 1927) on 16 July 1899. His third m. was to Eleanor Scott Seaman (d. 19 March 1957) on 2 June 1928. No issue from the second or third marriage. In the 1920 US Census, Henry, age 48 (b. abt 1872, NY) resides in Oyster Bay, Nassau, NY. In the 1930 US Census for Hempstead, Nassau, NY, Henry Van Wicklen, age 59 (b. NY, parents b. NY), pvt. gardener, resides as head of household with his third wife, Eleanor, age 51 (b. NY, parents b. NY) (According to Betty Kappstatter, Henry lived in Brookville and later in Syosset, NY. He died in 1962 at the home of his daughter Anna (Van Wicklen) Reid in New Jersey.)

Children: Anna^9 Van Wicklen (b. 16 August 1890 L.I., NY, d. 29 January 1980. She m. Charles Tredwell Walters on 13 March 1908--who predeceased her. Her 2nd m. to Henry Reid of Cranbury, NJ who d. 1 January 1960. Both are bur. in Old Tennant Cemetery, NJ ; George^9 Henry Van Wicklen (b. 27 March 1892L.I., NY and 12 April 1970. He m. Elizabeth Smith; Florence^9 Van Wicklen (b. 18 December 1893 L.I., NY and d. 15 April 1983). She m. Joseph Arthur McInnes on 20 January 1917; Bentley^9 Van Wicklen (b. 29 November 1895, L.I., NY and d. 29 December 1984, Bayville, Nassau, NY). He m. Gladys Letitia Jarvis (b. 18 Apr 1905 and d. Aug 1984, Bayville, Nassau, NY) on 21 October 1933. WWi Draft Registration Card (1917-1918) lists Bentley as residing in Syosset, NY at that time with occupation of farmer, single, of medium height and build with blue eyes and light hair; Sarah^9 Layton Van Wicklen (b. 28 April 1897, L.I., NY and d. 1 April 1966). She m. Clausen Husson Van Sise on 11 June 1919.

1900 US Census for Oyster Bay, Queens, NY lists Henry Van Wicklen, 29, head, b. Mar 1871, NY (NY, NY), farmer with [second] wife, Elizabeth, 19, b. July 1880, NY (NY, NY) and Anna, dau., b. Aug 1890, NY; George H., son, b. May 1892, NY, Florence, dau., b. Dec. 1893, NY, Bentley, son, b. Nov. 1895, NY, Sarah, dau., b. Apr 1897, NY and Augustus Murray, servant, b. Apr 1829 (age 70). None of the children are Elizabeth's. They are all by Henry's first wife.

1910 US Census for 11th District, Oyster Bay, Nassau, NY lists Henry Van Wicklen, head, 39, b. NY (parents b. NY), farmer, with wife, Elizabeth, 30, b. NY, Florence, daughter, 17, Bentley, son, 15, and Sarah, dau., 14.

WWI Draft Registration Card (1917-1918; 5 June 1917) for Bentley Van Wicklen of Syosset, NY, 21, b. 29 Nov 1896, Oyster Bay, NY. He was a farmer for H.P. Chilton, single, of medium height and build with blue eyes and light hair (not balding).

Bentley Van Wicklin wagoneer with 305th Infantry; joined 12/5/17 and absent sick 1/27/19 (found on Internet search on 5 March 2002 --use Van Wicklin and 305th Infantry)
